The Demons of Adoption Award for 2014 #flipthescript #NAAM2014

demon award 2014 adoption by gentle care

The Pound Pup Legacy Annual Demons of Adoption Award

Upon a successful 2nd nomination and upon election within the Adoption community for rightfully pointed out the wrongdoings and condemned the practices Pound Pup Legacy hereby thus denounces the dubious honor of receiving the Eighth Annual Demons of Adoption Award in 2014 to:

Adoption by Gentle Care of Columbus, Ohio

Who shall now receive the most critical recognition in Adoption including the scorn, disgust, and public flogging pertaining hereto this most infamous recognition in the city of AdoptionLand, in the state of the Internet, on this tenth day of November in the year two thousand and fourteen.

Adoption by Gentle Care; Repeat Offenders who Never Learned their Lessons

Oh yes, I am giddy with the joy knowing that Adoption by Gentle Care has won the 2014 Pound Pup Legacy’s Demon in Adoption Award. For one, I am proud to say that this was, no surprise, my nomination though it is worth it to toe that it is actually AGC’s second nomination. They were in the 5th Annual Demons of Adoption Awards 2011 nominations for their involvement as the placing agency in the failed adoption Thad Wyrembek aka Grayson Vaughn or as the original nomination statement can be quoted:
I nominate Adoption by Gentle Care. They were responsible for keeping a young boy(Thad Wyrembek aka Grayson Vaughn) from his biological father (Ben Wyrembek) for over three years. According to court documents Adoption by Gentle Care knew the husband of the mother was not the biological father even though he signed the surrender. It was apparent thatuire her to share that information. They call themselves non-profit, but it is obviously all about the bottom line. It appears the vast majority of their profits go into marketing to find more babies to “help”.

Child Trafficking: Pound Pup Legacy

Child Trafficking = Big Business

People need to recognize what's being done to parents and children is criminal.  Poor people are offered money to relinquish their child, others are promised an education for their children and their eventual return, only later to find out adoption is a permanent measure. Some children are even kidnapped, and stolen and taken to an orphanage, where there are forced to live in ghastly conditions.
This website section contains discussions and articles about child trafficking in the context of international adoption.  In addition, a collection of known cases of child trafficking can be viewed, demonstrating how the demand for adoptable infants actually creates "orphans" for those wanting to believe international adoption protects poor children from a life of crime and homelessness.

International adoption is big business and with that come unethical practices. In several countries the ultimate goal for children in orphanages is to be adopted abroad. Sadly, many young children are finding themselves living in an orphanage only because of the existence of international adoption.

NOMINATED: Trio Solutions (Baby Veronica case)

I would like to nominate South Carolina based public relations firm Trio Solutions, and owner Jessica Munday, for the Demons of Adoption Award.
The same professional PR firm that targeted Baby Veronica's father Dusten Brown, pulled out their arrows again and aimed them at yet another father in yet another contested adoption. The exact same tactics (purchasing Facebook likes; setting up an online shop to raise money in a child's name; smearing the father through any means necessary, including nationally-launched press releases; calling in the national press, including CNN; purposely working the public up into an angry lather; having their contractors set up websites to incite anger and hatred of the bio father) were used on John McCaul this year and last. They attempted the same thing with other children's biological families as well, including Baby Dee.
So, I would like to nominate them for their role in meddling in adoption cases and using the weight and cost of an entire Public Relations team to target poorer, less social media savvy birth families.
***Of course I'd like to nominate the Indian Adoption Projects and ARENA, designed and run by the American government, to commit genocide on Indigenous families. It happened and is well-documented in the anthologies Two Worlds and Called Home ...Trace

7th Annual Demons in Adoption nominations (a must read) #BabyVeronica

The link for nominations may be found at: http://poundpuplegacy.org/seventh_demons_of_adoption_nominations

7th Annual Demons in Adoption

Hands down this year!! The Matthew and Melanie Capobianco, Troy the Stalker Dunn, Nightlight Adoption Agency and its owners/attorney Raymond W. and Laura Beauvais Godwin, their PR rep, Jessica Munday and her company, Trio Solutions, and their national fund-raising/lobbying arm Christian Alliance for Indian Child Kidnapping
By their outrageous behavior - violating gag orders, hiring PR firms, taking what should have been a private matter to the court of public opinion and peddling lies and slurs against Veronica's father on talk shows, in newspapers, "news" programs, exploiting a minor child by using her image and name to raise tens of thousands of dollars, contracting with a TV reality show producer to film her and invade her privacy (show up at her school uninvited and unannounced), demanding public officials arrest her father and "seize" her, threatening the safety and security of the Brown family to such an extent that they had to move out of their family home and into tribal housing and be provided with 24-hour security guards, and more - the Capobiancos have proven to the world that so-called "love" for this child and her safety and security are the furthest things from their minds. By their actions, they have indelibly harmed her for life. They began exposure of an innocent child for public display in such a manner that she will never know privacy and peace again. From now until forever everyone will know who and where she is. Her security has been compromised beyond repair. For these reasons and more, including the underhanded, unethical and probably illegal means in which she was abducted from OK at birth, they have forfeited any right of entitlement or possession of this or any other child, if not provided ample grounds for criminal charges and civil liability to the Brown family.

There are plenty more to read but this one nailed it on the BABY VERONICA CASE... Trace

I nominate the Nightlight Adoption Agency

I nominate Nightlight Christian Adoption Agency and its owners and operators for their violations of the Indian Child Welfare Act and trafficking in babies. Rumor is there are 50 children from North Dakota tribes placed thru Nightlight in addition to Veronica Brown and Baby Desaray (and untold others).
Nightlight is a corporation with Laura Godwin, its CEO/director, and Ronald Stoddart as Principal Officer for tax purposes. In 2011 alone, they grossed $2,747,914. Nightlight is licensed in Colorado, California, South Carolina and in Kentucky so far. Now in two lawsuits over Native American babies they attempted to place for adoption...
Raymond W. Godwin, called an unethical adoption attorney in news reports, was the original adoption attorney for Matt and Melanie Capobianco and is also involved in this dispute called #BABY DESARAY. His wife Laura is the director of the Nightlight adoption agency that handled the Baby Veronica placement/adoption.

Deportation Cases: Adoptees

As I wrote last year, children who were adopted by Americans have absolutely no idea who they are or where they were born or where their home country is - until they are old enough to read and ask questions.
Do you think a child knows or understands what it means to be a citizen? Hardly. It depends on their age, if they remember being brought to the USA for adoption.

The following stories on Pound Pup Legacy should shed a bright light on this horrific situation for adoptees who did nothing but be adopted by Americans.
Because their adoptive parents didn't get them their American citizenship, now they face deportation, immediate expulsion from America. Yes, a few of them have committed crimes, mostly minor, but in any case, how does an adoptee return to their place of birth when they have no recollection of their people or place or language?
Again, the billion dollar adoption industry pumps up the propaganda to convince more and more people to adopt - even today....to make money... [sigh] ... Trace
